NTPC Simhadri has conducted CSR Stakeholders meeting at Admin Building Auditorium on 29.10.2021. In this meet different ongoing developmental activities undertaken by NTPC CSR were presented. The focus of this meet was on developmental initiatives taken up by NTPC CSR especially in Education and allied activities were highlighted. At the outset, Shri Diwakar Kaushik, Chief General Manager, NTPC Simhadri and Shri Premchand, AGM HR addressed the participants about community development initiatives in Paravada Mandal and reiterated on NTPC’s focus on improving quality of education and thereby quality of life for coming generations in the Mandal. “Education is of vital importance and more than 30 of the CSR budget has been streamlined for education”, Shri Diwakar Kaushik reiterated in the meeting and highlighting the priority on education sector holds in the community development initiatives of NTPC Simhadri. Furthermore, the needs and requirement and further possible support were gauged in the meeting. The meeting was attended by the MPDO Shri Hemasundara Rao, Officials from PRI and RWS&S Deptts., Pricipals of Jr. Colleges, Paravada, Thanam & Islampeta & HMs of ZPH Schools Paravada Mandal. The stakeholders appreciated the NTPC CSR spend on education w.r.t. infrastructural support, Yoga training, and solicited CSR support for capacity building of teachers, Sports equipment, Computers & Printers, Rooftop Solar, Dual Desk Benches etc. Appreciating the efforts of NTPC, Principal, Jr. College Parawada and Jr. College, MJPAPBCWRS Thanam expressed that “We are thankful to NTPC to support student community in Parawada mandal, without their support it would have been a herculean task”. In the meeting, HMs and principals further showed enthusiasm and promised support for NTPC’s idea of promoting local art and culture in the Mandal.
